Nigerian Cleric Backs Trump’s Intervention, Alleges Genocide Against Christians in Northern Nigeria
A Nigerian cleric, Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo, has declared full support for what he described as President Donald Trump’s intervention in the alleged Christian genocide taking place in Northern Nigeria.
In an interview with News Central TV, Rev. Dachomo accused the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of complicity in the ongoing violence, claiming that repentant Boko Haram members have been recruited into the Nigerian military and police.
“The repentant Boko Haram members have been recruited into the Nigerian Army, Air Force, and Police. That’s why Christians must have a say in politics,” he said.
The cleric, who serves as Regional Chairman of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State, alleged that Christians are being systematically targeted, while attempts to portray the killings as balanced conflicts between religious groups are false.
“When they come shouting Allahu Akbar, they behead a Christian and lick the blood. Muslims claim we kill them too — ask them where? Look at the child that was just killed, and they still say it’s not genocide?”
Rev. Dachomo said he had credible inside sources confirming his claims, adding:
“I’m over 100% in support of President Donald Trump’s intervention because the Nigerian government’s hands are tied.”
He vowed to escalate the matter to the International Criminal Court (ICC), accusing the Nigerian government and the Miyetti Allah association of enabling the violence.
“The world needs to know that what we are saying is not false. I will go to any length to prove that this government is lying. We are preparing to take Nigeria before the ICC and sue the Miyetti Allah association for their role in these atrocities,” he said.
In a post on his social media account, Dachomo recounted multiple attacks on Christian communities in Plateau State, many of which he said have never been officially documented.
“Hundreds of lives have been lost in attacks on Plateau villages that were never recorded, and many victims remain unaccounted for,” he wrote.
He recalled the March 7, 2010 Dogo Nahawa massacre in Jos South Local Government Area, where over 500 Christians were reportedly killed overnight by armed assailants.
“Because of my outcry, my own village has been attacked several times. Over 50 people have been slaughtered — including my family members and friends. My best friend’s wife and five children were burned alive,” he said.
Rev. Dachomo criticized both the Nigerian government and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for denying that genocide is taking place, stating that such denials have fueled his determination to collect evidence and expose the truth.
“Since the Federal Government and even CAN claim there is no genocide, I am more determined to prove them wrong. I’ve been traveling from one grave site to another, documenting mass killings in villages like Jaruwa, Wurekum, Doruwa, Mangu, and Bokkos,” he said.
According to Dachomo, in one particularly gruesome attack in Jaruwa, worshippers were trapped inside a church and burned alive during a Sunday service.
“None survived because the terrorists surrounded the building, set it ablaze with gas lamps, and locked the doors,” he recounted.
The cleric said he is compiling his findings into a comprehensive report on Christian persecution in Nigeria, which he intends to present to the international community as proof of ongoing genocide.
