Terrorists on Monday attacked Kirchinga community in Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing a former councillor and abducting his two sons.

The victim, Hon. Thlama Sini, a former councillor representing Kirchinga Ward, was taken alongside his children during a late-night raid on the village.

According to local sources, the attackers later killed Sini and escaped with the boys.

Kirchinga, the home community of Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has long endured sporadic terrorist attacks, but residents say this latest incident has deepened fear among families and shaken confidence in local security.

Family members who spoke to SaharaReporters said the terrorists stormed Sini’s home and ordered him to accompany them into the forest with his two sons.

“He told them he was diabetic and hypertensive and could not survive the journey, and instead asked them to name their price,” a family source said.

The attackers rejected any negotiation, dragged Sini to the outskirts of the village, and shot him dead before fleeing with the boys, the source added.

Authorities have yet to release an official statement as efforts to locate the abducted children continue.
