Police Declare 26-Year-Old Woman Missing, Two Men Wanted Over Alleged Murder
The Nigeria Police Force has declared a 26-year-old Nigerian woman, Chukwunyere Esther Chinaza, missing and issued a Special Police Gazette Bulletin in connection with an alleged case of conspiracy and murder.
Chinaza, a native of Imo State, reportedly returned to Nigeria from Dubai in June 2026 but has not been seen since June 22. Her family said she returned to Lagos with a male friend based in South Africa before she disappeared.

According to the police bulletin, Chinaza was last seen around the Shoreline axis of Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State. Her last known address was listed as Horizon Estate, Ikate, Lagos.
The police urged anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos, or the nearest police station.
Speaking to SaharaReporters, one of Chinaza’s brothers said the family had been unable to determine whether she was alive or dead despite efforts to locate her.

He said the family became increasingly concerned after her disappearance and that investigations had allegedly linked some individuals to the case.
The police have also declared two men, Ajibola Obateru and Folawiyo Balogun Alagbado, wanted in connection with the alleged conspiracy and murder case.
In a bulletin, the police alleged that Obateru conspired with others to attack Chinaza, allegedly took her body to an unknown location and stole her personal belongings.
In a separate bulletin, Alagbado was also declared wanted over allegations that he conspired with others to attack and kill Chinaza before moving her body to an unknown location and taking her belongings.
Another suspect identified as Hakeem is reportedly in police custody at the SCID, Panti, in connection with the investigation.
The circumstances surrounding Chinaza’s disappearance and the allegations against the suspects remain under investigation, and the claims have not been established by a court.
Meanwhile, Chinaza’s family continues to appeal for intensified efforts to establish her whereabouts and determine what happened to her.
The police have urged members of the public with relevant information about Chinaza or the two wanted suspects to contact the SCID, Panti, or the nearest police station.
